Bruschetta


Okay so this morning the fruit salad was just not enough and I needed something else to get me going and this is what I made, a bruschetta using cheddar (shredded), tomatoes, avocado, onion, garlic, pinch of sea salt, lemon juice and olive oil, then a sprinkle of some dried herbs that I had in my cupboard. It was just the thing and so yummy. I love the mix, and oh I almost forgot the bread was just some wholemeal bread toasted. Thats it, simple, easy and so good for you too, thats the way I like it!!!!

Mac Plush Glass


This is one of my favorite colors and a real go to lip gloss. Its called the MAC PLUSHGLASS and it is in color "AMPLE PINK". I think it is such a cute color that would suite many complexions. The other thing that I just adore in any lip gloss is that it is not, I repeat not sticky, I hate wearing lip glosses that are super sticky and on a windy day my hair sticks to my mouth, not cute at all!!!!!!! My fringe /bangs are fairly long so they get stuck and it is not pretty to pick it off and have lip gloss on your hair. So I would rate this to be a fairly versatile lip gloss for everyday wear or a natural look too. Ample pink is just such a great shade of pink, I adore it. I don't own a lot of Mac products and this is the first mac lippy thingy I have and am so pleased with. It produces just the right amount of shine, so its really pretty on. It is one of my favorites and I carry it around everywhere but try not use it up as I love it and don't want to waste it way. I alternate with other colors from drugstore brands that I also love to wear and as summer approaches I am really moving into the nudes and the subtle pinks. Guess Flip flops/Thongs


Okay so I went out late one night and was wearing my favourite killer heels which were surprisingly very comfortable but I was wondering around and did a bit of window shopping and after a couple of hours my feet started to swell. I was feeling like I was going to die and at that point I was window shopping the Guess store and notice some thongs/flip flops? I immediately went in to end my painful journey. I tried them and they seemed reasonably comfortable. Then I bought them and went out, changed into them and continued on with the walk. However when I got home I noticed that my right foot had a blister where the top strap is on the outer part of the foot. Even after I pulled the plastic part to stretch it out a bit (I thought it happened because they were new but it was odd that it only happened to one side and not the other). The next day they were still causing me blisters. It has been over a week now and when I were them I were a bandaid on the right foot to save me from the blisters. I don't know what is wrong with that side but I still like the pair, oh well some things are not made in high quality even if it is bought from the higher end stores, or could be just my luck. LOL

Cinnamon Apple Toast

This is what I had for breakfast this morning, it is basically warmed shredded apple, cinnamon, touch of shredded ginger on toasted rye bread topped with flaked almonds. Yummy. What did you enjoy for breakfast? Let me know!!!!!!

My Favourite Lip balm


Okay so I was on the hunt for a really good lip balm months ago and I actually bought a crap load of them throughout the year but I always return to the chapstick strawberry one. I don't know why but it seems to do a better job than even the original one which I also sampled. I use it throughout the day and night and I find it does provide me with the protection I need. So if you find something that works for you and is reasonably priced I suggest you stick with it. I have to have moisture and have to admit I am addicted to lip balm. Sorry if you think this is a bad habit but whatever, you have to do what you love right? hahaha

Date molasses chicken salad


Okay so today I had the urge for chicken and yup it was sure delicious. I cut the chicken breast into pieces or slices whatever you prefer. Then I added some lemon juice and date molasses and then pan fried them with a little coconut oil and some chinese spice, a touch of tumeric and sea salt. Oh and a very small amount of chilli. I then proceed with the similar salad in my last post. I hope you guys like it and please let me know if you need more information or if you have a question please leave me a comment. Organic Beef Salad


It was time for me to get up and not be a lazy bum today and actually prepare my meals for the day. I managed to find some organic beef from my local supermarket, it was already sliced up for stir-frying and I made some salad to go with it. Just spinach, red capsicum, tomato, onion, avocado, flaked almond, a little extra virgin olive oil and some lemon juice. Simple and very tasty is what I love. I made enough salad for the entire day. I need to boost my iron levels so I need my red meat and leafy greens. Make sure you guys get a blood test too, I was really surprised but at the same time got some answers as to why I was feeling so tired all the time. There are a few things I need to work on but if I had not gone in I would still be unaware and still making the same mistakes. I hope you guys enjoy your day today and hope it is filled with lots of love and good health.

Rest and Workout



Today was my rest day but seriously I had to still do something so I went out for a walk with a dear friend and so I felt like I still did something active. I don't feel right sometimes if I don't do something physical especially earlier on in the day as it really charges me up and gives me the power to go go go. I know I really need the rest but it is good to take up a sport even on your rest day even if you just play for just half an hour.


Get Into Shape, DO IT FOR YOU!

The only thing that I missed out on today was the fact I forgot to prepare some meals in advance and struggled throughout the day and actually felt very low too. I actually needed the break and got the chance to shop around for some running shoes, I love the nike brand but have not decided on a pair, I just want one that really supports me and is comfortable and high on functionality. I am so fussy but it won't take me long. I like to have at least two pairs of shoes so that one can have the chance to dry out completely between workouts. Tomorrow I should hit it hard.

My first pair of designers



So summer is approaching and I can't wait, I am done done done with the cold. Plus I can't wait to wear my new sunnies. I love them. I hope we get a nice summer this year. So I went for a frameless pair as they suit my face more and I don't know why but they just do. They are a little big but cover the whole eye and so I find that they protect it more. Eyes are so sensitive, make sure you have a really good pair for the summer. Yes people protect your eyes and look nice doing it!!!!!! hahahahah.

Maxfactor False Lash Effect


I also needed a new mascara and since I have been bombarded with reviews about the maxfactor false lash effect, I thought why not I will try it and ended up wearing it for the event. It wasn't a big dramatic change but it did give me fuller lashes with a natural look like the pack says. So I guess I was pretty impressed with it, also because it did not clump and there was no fallout which I just dread and if they had been it was going straight into the trash. I am not easily impressed when it comes to mascara and I don't wear it everyday either as I like to give my eyes a rest even from eye shadow too. However, this was a first for me and I think maxfactor do produce some great quality products too. I was a big fan of their foundation until I fell in love with mineral powders which suit my oily skin more and help prevent shine more too. I guess this will be my go to mascara for now.

St. Tropez


Okay so I had this wedding to go to and I went out and bought the st. tropez self tan bronzing mousse, it was 120ml, I was going for a natural looking tan which this product seems to produce, it has a really nice way of washing out just seems to fade slowly with each wash and look even more natural too, like more golden than bronze. I really liked it and would highly recommend it for any function or event, a bit on the pricey side but still a very good quality product and does not have such strong scent like those cheaper ones that produce the wrong color anyway. So I was really happy with the result and I actually prefer the mousse too, though a word of advice you really don't need much and a little goes a long way so just make sure you apply little by little and it blends nice too, I used disposable gloves to apply everywhere, just so my palms would not come out brown, yukkkkkk.

Lunch


I am feeling the hunger so I opted for a pre-prepared salad and I threw in a bit of salmon pieces I had cooked with extra virgin organic coconut oil and some lemon juice. The salad contains avocado, tomato, onion, lettuce, pistachio, spinach, apple cidar vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. It was so filling I still have some more for a bit later. I then treated myself to a new flavoured green tea with pear. I am now gearing myself up for my daily workout. Today it will be some light weights and a gentle uphill jog. What are you doing today?

Morning Breakfast


Today is a new day and for breakfast I made myself some fruit salad topped with flaked almonds. So yummy and love it in the morning, it is so refreshing and an all round healthy natural snack. Let me know if you want more of these kind of recipes. This one is so simple and only contains four fruits, orange, kiwi, strawberry and apple. I made a huge bowl and just took a small portion for breakfast but put the rest in the fridge so I have healthy snack to munch on later or tomorrow without having to think about what to make. I have noticed some nice changes in my body since i started eating more cleaner. I also had a piece of rye bread with organic cheese and a brushetta mix I created, let me know if you would like me to post a pic or give you the recipe. Yesterday I did cheat and have to be honest about that but today is a brand new day so I have to hope back into business. Join me!

Jumping into the swing of things

Okay so this week it is a total focus but sometimes when you are surrounded with people cheating on sweets and other unnatural foods, it can be hard. We need to talk to our mind and figure out a way to climb up back from that point of weakness. It is very easy I know to slip up but don't be hard on yourself and jump back on the horse to strength and great health as soon as you can. If you like we can do this together. I got your back........am hoping it will get easier and easier to make the right decisions about the diet side of things. That can be the biggest struggle for many people. Planning has been tough this week as things have been super busy this week. I need to make the time to organise my goal so I can reach them with you. Lets make an effort this week for ourselves and really devote some time to it. This way we are assured results even though you don't see the results soon enough just keep it in your head that it is a long journey for long term results. I will be back soon enough hopefully with pictures of meals and fitness attempts.

Fitness and me

This week is a week all about my fitness and health program that I have been more than attempting. Actually really committing to and pushing myself through some pain barriers. It has not been easy but there is a lot of online support and guidance that I just have to share it with my viewers. People are looking everywhere for answers and help but amongst the confusions I have stumbled along some common truths that we forget about because we focus on the hype of the things that are being advertised to us and we lose touch with ourselves. I hope to enrich someone else's life with some small advice or information I have stumbled upon.
